Linda Stott Franklin was born in Raleigh, NC and raised in Spring Hope, NC. She attended high school and two years of college at St. Mary's in Raleigh and finished her degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Later she obtained her Law Degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law and was licensed to practiced in North Carolina. Linda has worked as Deputy Legal to the Governor of North Carolina, on the legal staff of the Commissioner of Insurance and in Government Relations for Lincoln National Corporation in Ft. Wayne IN. Having lived most of her life in North Carolina, Linda has had the good fortune to also live four years in Lausanne, Switzerland where her husband, Gus, worked for the Dana Corporation. They also spent six years in Toledo, OH where she enjoyed working on the 2003 Senior US Open, fundraising for the Valentine Historical Theatre, and improving her golf game at the Inverness Club.
Linda and her husband Gus, also now working as a realtor at Intracoastal Realty, formerly lived at Wrightsville Beach and are now enjoying life at Landfall. Linda has been a Gold Level Member of the Producers Circle at Thalian Hall, Wilmington's Historic Theatre. She has served on the Board of the Country Club of Landfall and it's various committees as well as on the Grants committee for the Landfall Foundation. She and Gus are avid supporters of the Cape Fear Community College through its Gift of Education program and its Humanities and Fine Arts Center. She is a member of the Wilmington Area Realtors Association.
